Description: In 1942 Porsche was in competition for designing the Tiger I tank and lost out, with 100 chassis already build, Porsche proposed a super panzerjager armed with Krupp's 88 mm PaK 43 anti-tank gun. Ninety-one units were built in 1943 under the name Ferdinand: eighty nine of these were committed to the Battle of Kursk. The extreme weight prevented recovery of lightly damaged vehicles and crews complained of poor vision blocks. In January 1944 the design was modified to address these concerns. In May 1944 the German High Command ordered a name change to Elefant. Our standard offering is the upgraded 1944 model with we will refer to as the Elefant. You may request the original 1943 design by requesting a "Ferdinand" through a not attached to the order or by contacting us. Please make substitution request at the time of order as we try to start print the models with in a day of ordering. The models were designed by Marco Bergman and 3D printed under license at 1:56 scale. Will combine shipping with other orders. If you would like any other scale please contact us on our Rosa Miniatures and Games website: rosaminiatures.squarespace.co VISIT or EBAY store for more offerings Color may vary.
