Description:This listing is for a Vintage Hardcover Cookbook of the New and Enlarged Edition of the "White House Cook Book". This is the 1922 1923 printing during Harding administration from The Saalfield Publishing Company (the frontispiece is a photo of Florence Kling Harding). This cook book was written by Hugo Ziemann, the steward of the White House and Mrs. F.L. Gillette. Copyright date is 1887. This is an illustrated cook book with many black and white photos included. This vintage book has been previously enjoyed. The cover does show much wear, corner dings and rounded. The pages are clean and appear to be mostly unmarked, other than pages shown in photographs. The interior pages are VERY tanned from age. The frontispiece is detached from book, but other pages are intact with loosening spine. Overall this book is in good condition for its age. This book is from a private home and was found along with several other editions of antique White House Cook Books (1900 and 1913) that will also be listed for auction soon.
