Description: For sale is a very cool 1934 "Heavy Motto" Washington Silver Quarter. 1934 is just the second year of mintage for the Washington Quarter. In 1934 there were two different versions: the "Light Motto" and "Heavy Motto" versions, which refers to how bold the motto "In God We Trust" on the obverse appears. This coin is the "Heavy Motto" variety. These are what make the 1934 Quarters a semi-key date of the entire series. It is incredibly rare to find Washington Quarters this old in such high grade condition like this coin because they were so heavily circulated, especially during the Depression years. That really boosts this to top shelf status. And like all Washington Quarters the coin is 90% silver. As you can see from the pics the coin is in awesome condition, and it would come in as a nice XF grade, very close to being AU (almost uncirculated). It has lots of the original mint luster to it and all details are nice and bold, including some of the feathers on the eagle's breast. Other than some tiny spots here and there it has no major toning and it has not been cleaned. I do have multiple coins available in the exact same condition and grade if you were interested in buying more than one. I always give discounts for multiple quantities and always combine shipping. If you buy only one you will receive the coin in the pics. This really is a must-have for anyone who is trying to complete a Washington Quarter collection--or just wants to own a great silver coin. Thanks!
