Description: 1950s Atomic SUNBURST Ray DESIGN Wall Lamp SCONCE Clear LUCITE - very RETRO COOL Here is a nice looking rayed sunburst geometric atomic clear acrylic Lucite sconce. Retro cool screaming 1950s-1960s design with 3 layers of sunburst rays in varying lengths. Note : Shade is obviously modern and NOT INCLUDED with this sconce. This looks mid century atomic style to me and the non-polarized plug suggests it's fairly old. I don't know the history of this piece so please use your own judgement. This sconce is in excellent overall condition, only minimal corrosion to metal surfaces very minor, all lucite pieces are in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, or discoloration, maybe a little dust, no damage at all. The rayed sunburst geometric wall plate is about 5 inches across, and 1 inch in depth, projects from the wall about 5-1/2 inches to the front edge of the lamp socket. Height from bottom edge of wall plate to the top edge of the bulb socket is 7-1/2 inches. Cord is 5 or 6 feet or so. I have tested it and it works just fine, no hesitation in plugging it in as cord and switch are in great shape. Note : Shade is obviously modern and NOT INCLUDED with this sconce, bulb is also not included in this sale. Please see all photos provided. Thanks for looking !!!
