Description: 1960's Era Etch A Sketch No. 505 Ohio Art Company - Red Frame - Works This example works great. This is my Etch-a-Sketch from when I was a kid and spent hours on it. Inventor from France and first manufactured in Canada. From what I've learned, the original models made in Canada (and some of the first licensed in the US), did not have the globe logo in the upper left corner of the frame. Later, the Ohio Art logo was put on the frame which show later manufacturing models and were made in the US. You'll also notice that the knobs in later versions (1980's +) have raised knobs with a bevel on top, where the earlier models, like this one, have a flatter/lower profile.
