The brass nipple will screw in easily for the first 2 or 3 turns even with the Teflon tape. (About 2 turns of tape around the nipple prior to screwing into regulator) Make sure you turn the entire hose assembly when screwing into the regulator. This will prevent the chance of causing leaks at the crimp joints. After the installation is completed, open the valve and use soapy water to test the joint, and confirm that there is no leakage before use.
