Description: Description This wonderful fireplace was salvaged from a Harlem NY brownstone.It is made of quarter sawn oak and is unpainted. The top has a mirror in an ornate frame.The frame has a crown molding along the top, ornate moldings, pilasters along the sides with carved bases and capitals and ornate brackets.The shelf is supported by 4 ornate corbels with fluted pilasters with carved capitals below.There are raised wooden panels between the pilasters.The breast has fluting and 3 carved panels. Measurements are 75.5 inches wide at the shelf, 87.25 wide with the side panels that wrap around the chimney, 51 tall to shelf, 100.75 overall, 12 deep at the shelf and 18.75 deep including the wrap around. The firebox opening is 42 inches wide by 36 tall.Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. In spring and fall we go from Pennsylvania to Atlanta, over to Houston, up to Kansas City and St. Louis then up into Iowa, Chicago and home through Michigan and Ohio. Trips to NYC and New England are as needed. We can personally deliver if you are somewhat close to these routes much cheaper than freight or uship.
