Antique French 1899 Art Nouveau SILK Fabric Morning Glories Scheurer Lauth Paris

Description: A very rare find indeed! Genuine antique French pure silk upholstery fabric, a fabulous Art Nouveau pattern design of morning glories, a fabric w provenance, made and/or sold by Scheurer Lauth & Cie, Paris. Dated 1899 and in well preserved, unused condition, removed from the original large 1899 French fabric sample book. Measures 33" long and 19 1/2." wide. The silk has a gorgeous luster and glow! This rare French textile would make a grand and opulent pillow cover or hang it on the wall for a display, etc. Sturdy upholstery weight. Selvages on both sides. And the pattern is stunning!! Soft romantic colors of a burnished gold with slight sage bronze undertones, greens, pinks, creams, soft orange hues, yellow and greens. Large and small morning glory flowers are so pretty. This is all I have of this one, as each pattern in the book came in 4 varieties of fabrics and 8 color schemes. The tags shown are not included as that is from the sample book which has a few more fabrics still sewn inside. I show it for proof of the provenance of the textile. Book is dated 1899.
