Description: Antique French Textile 1850 Blue Chintz Floral Tiny Rose, Rosebud, Foliage Sprays This stunning, mid 19th C French textile is the prettiest small scale floral with tiny blue roses pattern on grey patterned ground. Lightweight chintz material with a tight dense weave. I am not detecting any glaze present although you may notice a very light sheen. It will have some light wrinkling that may be ironed out, from the natural folds within the curtain. The tiny bouquet floral sprays in blue and white roses are quite charming, with a lovely picotage design surrounding the florals.This lovely French chintz material was once a boudoir curtain, suspended from a large bed frame in France.Stunning tiny blue roses pattern on grey patterned ground. 100% cotton. 100% Antique. Measurements: 18" length x 20" width (one selvedge). Multiples available at this time in which will arrive in one continuous length upon purchasing. The width will remain the same 20" wide.Condition: Excellent, clean condition. Pin prick sew line along selvedge, some tiny pinholes ~about 4~5, a few small tea colored areas ~ all shown in the photos. The colors are beautiful, even throughout.
