Description: This is an antique Aesthetic Movement silver plate spoon holder. The piece is set by Wilcox silver plate company and was made during the Aesthetic movement probably in the 1870's. The spooner embodies the craftsmanship of that movement. The tip of the handles have an image of a face, the feet almost appear to be cloven with a shell motif connecting the legs to the body of the piece. The design around the top of the piece has a very geometric pattern that almost looks like a shield. The piece is quadruple plate, is in very nice condition considering it's age and does not have any dings in it. It measures: 6" high by 5 1/2" wide handle to handle. Please contact me with any questions.
