They feature gold tone frames with black plastic arms. The front and sides of the frames have a moulded André Courrèges logo and the lenses have a blue tint. DIMENSIONS: Lens width: 57mm or 2 ¼" Nose width/Nose bridge: 14mm or 9/16" Frame width: 145mm or 5 11/16" Temple width (inside frame width): 135mm or 5 5/16" Temple (Arm) length: 130mm or 5 ⅛” Frame height: 38mm or 1 ½”Hinges are a bit loose.There is no original case but an unbranded material sleeve will be included. André Courrèges was born on March 9, 1923 in Pau, France. He worked in a small Parisian fashion house in 1948 and within a year joined the staff of Cristobal Balenciaga. In 1961 he opened his own house and became established as one of the most original fashion designers in Paris. He was particularly known for his streamlined 1960s designs influenced by modernism and futurism, exploiting modern technology and new fabrics, revolutionising womenswear with his 'Space Age' outfits. The designer died on January 7, 2016.
