Totally a partscaster creation.Had Marilyn Monroe been a Jazzmaster player, a guitar like this could have been what she would have played when she sang “Happy Birthday Mr. President” to John F. Kennedy on that memorable day in 1962. This brand new Dillion solid Alder wood body is finished in Alpine White. The pickups are real P90’s. They have a meaty tone and not tinny. The guitar is in excellent shape. The body has a brand new tremolo bridge and the springs are tight so the small block bridge is tight against the body. It can be made functional if you loosen the springs. The pickguard and back plate are faux tortoise shell and looks great with light play wear. Nice quality parts throughout as far as i can remember. There is a custom Marilyn Monroe neck plate. I also had my luthier install a football jack plate so we could put the toggle switch between the tone and volume controls. The neck is a Fender Squire Indonesia 70’s style Strat neck. I had my luthier re-work the neck so there’s no fret ends protruding and the action is set up low. He also painted the front of the headstock with nitrocellulose white, which has aged slightly as compared to the body. No string trees were installed because they were not needed. The frets are like new on the Rosewood fingerboard. New sealed tuners were installed and the old screw holes were filled properly. There are two slight cracks by the neck (the larger is pictured) they are very slight and small. All electronics check out no scratchiness in the pots.
