Description: Heavily Upgraded High-End American Fender Telecaster Highlights: JBE pickups, Sperzel Locking Tuners, Black Korina Body, Very comfy C-shape maple neck, Hipshot hardtail bridge More details: Neck: American Series Telecaster. This project started with a (at that time) new American Tele, which had a neck I really liked. I started upgrading the guitar, replacing parts, etc. The final perfect creation you're looking at right now is the result of this process. The only original part left is the neck, it's just great. The rest has been replaced with better options. Body: Black Korina finished in Transparent Honey Burst, Warmoth, Made in the USA. Beautiful and very resonant. Pickups: JBE (formerly Joe Barden) Modern-T Set (Black). Amazing pickups that the late great Danny Gatton called "The best pickups on the Planet". This version has a slightly more punchy bridge pickup, the neck pickup is the same. I initially tried a humbucker in the neck position, but the original Gatton T-Neck just sounds better in this great instrument, thus the unusual pickup ring. If you prefer a more standard (?) look, I'll include a black ring for free (shown in two of the pictures at the end). Tuners: Sperzel Locking Tuners, Made in USA. The best available, super quick and easy to change strings, guitar stays in tune forever. Bridge: Hipshot Hardtail Bridge, Made in USA. IMO, best sounding hardtail bridge on the market. Electronics and other parts: CST pots, Switchcraft output jack, Electrosocket plate, oversized strap buttons for better hold, a premium-quality 3-way toggle switch, commonly used on Les Paul-style guitars, can't remember what capacitor I used, but I usually use paper-in-oil ones or other high-end caps, Fender neck plate. Strings: new set of 10-46 D'Addarios, the action is very nice, between low and medium, "just right" :) You'll love this great guitar. It sounds and plays SO good. IMPORTANT: The Tele is used. You'll find some minor wear hear and there, less on the body, more on the neck. Nothing major though. Please check the pictures carefully to have a general idea of how everything looks. This guitar is also "just right" in terms of being "broken-in", automatically feels comfy and familiar in your hands. I doubt you'll find too many instruments this good in your local guitar store, definitely not at this price. The Telecaster hasn't left my smoke-free home too many times, in fact very rarely. It's been loved (and played mostly at home), but I'm ok to part with it now, no hard feelings :) I'm not 20 anymore, not even 30 or 40 :) and I can't justify having so many guitars in the household not being an active musician noadays.
