The front of the pin is designed to look like the original VCR release of the Lion King, with baby Simba being held in the air by Rafiki. Mufasa and Sarabi proudly look on, while Scar creeps into the picture below the rock. The pin opens to reveal a black VCR tape with the lion king logo. An raised sketch of baby Simba is on the other side. The pin was sold in a special gray box. The bottom of the box was made to look like the front of a VCR with a door for the VCR tape, a large knob to viewers right of the VCR door, a rectangular button to the viewers left of the VCR door, and controls along the bottom.
