Description: This is a very scarce 1870 pamphlet printed by the Government Printing Office in Washington. It is the result of the Paris universal exposition in 1867. It is entitled "extracts from the report of the international committee on weights, measures and coins, with a notice of the use of the metric system in the United States and its relations to other systems of weights and measures." The pamphlet is in remarkably good condition for the age and style. It was protected by Colby University (College) with a Photomount pamphlet binder. Aside from a few library markings, there are no other markings, tears or dog ears to the pages. The pamphlet is fully intact. See images for more on condition
