Description: These are my Flat Blade Chisels These chisels are made from new, 5/8-inch round 5160 steel, and are hardened and tempered. The blade is about 1 to 1.125 inches wide and the total length of the chisel is about 9-inches long. For general split work and stock decoration, I recommend the rounded blade chisel I sell. However, in certain applications the straight-blade is a necessity. I use the straight blade chisel for cutting the last bit in split work, getting in any tight corner, and for horns and ears on some animal heads.
