They were produced by Arts Uniq’ Inc. in 1991 in Cookeville, TN Martha Hinson was a native Tennessean and self taught artist. She made style and techniques all her own. She loved family, golf and the world of art. In her own words, "I'm as squirrely as a bed bug, nutty as a fruitcake, far out and out on cloud nine most of the time." Martha’s creations: painted rocks, clever clay toadstools, and driftwood designs first received attention at craft fairs. She turned her talents to oils. Several of her works appear in municipal buildings and were chosen to be sent to Japan as a representation of Tennessee art. In 1987, Martha was commissioned to produce a series of historical portrayals of the Nashville area. At age 90, Martha died in April 2016.
