Description: This 1770s style Pirate/wench outfit is made up of six pieces, shift, stays/corset, two interchangeable skirts(petticoats), a tricorn hat and shoes. These were considered underpinnings as they were the first layers of clothing for wealthier or upper class ladies who would have worn additional layers of clothes over them. However for lower or working class women of the era these were simply their day to day clothes. The Stays/corset, shift and skirts have ribbon ties for closures or lacings. The stays are lined, boned with plastic boning and the eyelets are interfaced with thin cardboard to prevent stretching and keep the eyelets secure. The stays top binding is hand finished. The skirts are interchangeable or if preferred only a single one can be worn. I will admit the shoes came out a bit rough. I am a better doll seamstress than a doll cobbler. But hey, it has shoes so consider them an added bonus to the rest of the outfit. Omit the hat and this could make for a goth or vampire or simply an historic style. Historically this would have been worn over panniers/side hoops, but as this outfit already had so many pieces I chose to omit them. If you want a set of panniers, contact me and I can make them for an additional cost. This outfit will have any of the AGATs or similar dolls looking ready to sail the oceans of old looking for treasure. I recommend this for older children or adults. (dolls and accessories are NOT for sale). Hand made by me. I pre-washed the fabric to pre-shrink it and remove excess dyes. The exposed seams are finished with a serger-like sewing machine stitch. Ribbon ends were treated with fray block. The outfit is made from cottons, the hat from quality felt and trims, and the shoes are vinyl with cotton lining and a metal buckle. Nearly all of my outfits are one-of-a-kind or one of two of a kind. I make one for my dolls and another that is the same or similar to try and sell. So if you want unique clothes for your dolls look here first. The outfit is from a Pixie Faire pattern by Thimbles and Acorns with modifications done by me inspired by a Pemberly Theads pattern. The hat is from a Pixie Faire pattern by My Angie Girl resized. The shoes are from an Anne Van Dorn pattern. I am not affiliated with any doll company. Smoke free but not pet free home. I happily combine shipping so please wait for a combined invoice before paying if you are making multiple purchases. Or contact me before buying if you have any questions about combing shipping. If you wish to shop from week to week to get combined shipping please contact me.
