Description: A lovely original front seam swivel loop (formerly fixed loop, as obvious by the lot code, dimples near the bales, and remains of the original fixed feet under the swivel loops!) M1 helmet made by McCord with a heating lot code of 185A. This is a beauty of a helmet, having seen use during WW2 (as evident from paint wear underneath the Korean War paint) and eventually reuse during the Korean War. It's in amazing condition, with August 45 swivel loops (Mang. Steel swivel loops instead of stainless) and matching August 45 OD7 chinstraps (With the late war hook).
