Description: Title: Victorian British Household Cavalry Trumpet BannerDescription: Incredible Victorian British Royal Household Cavalry Trumpet Banner. The trumpet banner is beautifully embroidered on richly colored crimson red on damask silk. The British Victorian Royal Coat of Arms features breathtaking gold and silver wire brocade embroidery with wonderful blended bullion wire boardings throughout. The "VR" cypher can be seen embroidered at the top. The banner features lovely sequins and other complimentary quality features such as the glass eyes, dyed cotton plush symbolic foliage with gold wire twists and beautiful wire fringe. The addition of 2 pairs of yellow/red dyed and bullion wire layered tassels presented at each top corner further highlight the gloriousness of this piece. The aesthetic and superb metalwork on this piece is truly spectacular. The item itself is in immaculate condition, exhibiting rich vibrant colors throughout. Item is house and mounted in an beautiful antique shadow frame with UV plexiglass. Another one of these is on display at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York City.
