Most of these add some other forms of Alpha Lipoic Acid to make theirs seem more powerful but only the R-ALA can be absorbed and used by the body. I'm taking in a daily dose of 1200mg to help reduce symptoms of foot neuropathy and it's one of the few things you can find that has evidence that it can help this condition that has no cure. Wish they had a larger bottle that should reduce the cost per cap. BUT you can't find anything cheaper. although there are others that "present" as cheaper by adding the less R-ALA.
