The York and Tecumseh compressors were used from the factory and in many dealer installed air conditioning systems. Both the York and Tecumseh compressors are basically the same in design and it is easy to exchange them for a Sanden or Sanden type A/C compressor. These compressors were also popular as the basis for add-on air conditioning systems used from 1958 to the early 1990's.
