A TRUE First Illustrated American Edition/First Printing/First State with ALL First Edition Points present! While we assume it should be obvious, we do feel compelled to remind anyone interested that this is NOT the First Edition/First Printing of this title! This title was first published in Great Britain in 1977. Once again, we want to reiterate this the First Illustrated American Edition, NOT a First Edition/First Printing. We do have a TRUE First U.K. Edition and a TRUE First American Edition currently up for sale. Feel free to contact us for info regarding those two books. This rare treasure has some very clearly visible wear, mainly affecting the dust jacket, but is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition! The wear to the dust jacket, however, is considerable and should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no foxing, no remainder marks, no missing pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE.The binding is holding tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with creases/indentations/wear to the spine/cloth boards and noticeable creases/wear to some of the pages, NOT affecting the text! The wear, while relatively minor, is still clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The original, First State dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped but has extensive wear! Some general/shelf wear along with creases, scuffing, rips and marks/rubbing. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners and near/along the edges! In particular, please note the wear near/along the edges and the large rip on the front cover, near/along the bottom edge! The wear is VERY clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The bookmark/foldout comes in its' original plastic case/covering. The bookmark/foldout also has some very clearly visible! We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all of the wear when determining the value of this rare book and bookmark/foldout.If the dust jacket in particular was in better condition our asking price would be considerably higher. We purposely and closely photographed what we consider to be the most obvious and egregious wear.Once again, the wear to both the book, the dust jacket and the bookmark/foldout is VERY clearly visible! The wear to the dust jacket and bookmark/foldout in particular is extensive! All of the wear but particularly to the dust jacket and the bookmark, should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. Numerous photographs from various angles were taken for your consideration/inspection.Please closely and carefully view ALL the pictures for further clarification!!Following the conclusion of the auction, payment must be received within three days or the book will be re-listed.Please feel free to contact us with any and all questions. We are very proud of our 100% positive feedback/ranking and offer an easy, no questions asked return policy so you can buy with confidence! Thank you!!
