Description: This is an old vintage Mexican sterling silver pendant that can also be worn as a brooch. It was artisan handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico. The colorful Abalone is glued into the piece in a mosaic style. It shows a scene of two people and a cactus. This pendant/brooch would look lovely on a blouse or dress. The pin mechanism on this piece works ok but is very stiff and you have to be gently careful opening and closing it. ATTENTION - There is some dried glue in the front of this pendant from the glue used to set the Abalone. I do not know if it happened during the making of this pendant or if it was a repair. You can see it in photos #17 and #18. This is a vintage hand made piece and it has imperfections and wear marks on the sterling silver from age and use. Please examine all photos carefully. MEASUREMENTS - This pendant/pin measures 2-1/4” around. The inner diameter of the bail measures approximately 4mm. WEIGHT - a substantial 14.4 grams - see photo #2 HALLMARKED - 925 Mexico and tested for sterling silver - see photo #8 Please check out my other jewelry listings Your treasure will be carefully packaged for its journey home Thank you for looking
