THE CLOCK AND WATCH STORE Click images to enlarge Description Maker: Sicura Watch Company c.1970 Model: Jumbo Chronograph Condition: This is a vintage Sicura jumbo sized chronograph wristwatch coming to you freshly serviced on a black leather quick release rally style racing strap and ready to wear. This watch has the much desired 17 jewel hand winding Valjoux 7734 that winds and sets smoothly with a chronograph function that starts, stops and resets to zero perfectly. It has a quickset date with date window at the 12 position. This is one of my favorite handsets on all the vintage chronographs and it is unique to this watch. The hands have the original lumed inserts with just the tiniest speck missing from the minute hand but otherwise, perfect everwhere else. The orange second hand and the minute register hand are also original finishes with some fading due to natural aging. The dial has the original tritium dots just above the hour markers and there is some light spotting on the dial as you would expect to see on a vintage watch. The nickel plated brass case shows some wear mostly on the bottom edges where it makes contact with your wrist. It also has some scratches and small nicks from normal wear. The chronograph buttons show a little wear from use also. The mineral glass crystal is clean and clear and doesn't show any major scratches. This is an awesome watch and very large for the time period. I take great care in packaging all the items being sold but, I especially take extra precautions when packing clocks. I do everything I can to prevent your clock arriving damaged. Due to rising costs and some areas no longer being the rates they used to be, I no longer will offer large wall clocks with free shipping.
