Description: This is a VINTAGE 1958 AIRLINE TOWN AND COUNTRY Electric Guitar in SUNBURST Finish. Made in the USA for Montgomery Wards by the VALCO/SUPRO/NATIONAL Co. This guitar was damaged and repaired. It is complete and mostly original. IT PLAYS and EVERYTHING WORKS. The body AND the neck were broken and repaired. Look at the pictures for details. Rare gold hardware, Kluson Deluxe single line tuners (period correct replacements), non-original bridge, rosewood fretboard, bound neck, sunburst finish, master volume, big soft 'V' shape neck, block inlays. Comes with the case you see in the pictures.I acquired this in a lot of musical instruments in an estate purchase. I have held on to it for years for its historical value and the tone of these original Patent number Supro Pickups. They sound awesome. The action is high, but honestly no worse than half the guitars in the world. It is what it is. Play it as it is, break it up for the wonderful parts, use it for slide, hang it on the wall... It's all great guitar fun.I have serviced the guitar... cleaned the body and neck, cleaned and conditioned the fingerboard, cleaned and polished the frets, set up with 10-53 gauge strings, cleaned the controls (no scratchy pots), etc. The following is common sense stuff, but needs mentioned: -Due to the condition and repairs, this guitar is sold AS IS. -If you receive an item that has been damaged in shipping, CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY and save all the packaging.
